Vision

Creators shouldn't trade their future for reach.

MP3 is the creative pillar of the Mesaverse: a new economy for artists, makers, performers, and the people who believe the work should own its future.

The problem

For decades, labels, platforms, galleries and gatekeepers have kept most of the upside of culture. The people who make the work take the risk, and someone else sets the terms.

MP3 is built as a structural answer: creator-first economics, public rules, and a community of Citizens that governs the world it is building.

Three principles

Three principles

  1. Creative freedom

Your discipline, your voice, your route. MP3 is built for the work, not for flattening it into a feed. Six disciplines stand side by side, and none is a sideline to another.

  2. Radical transparency

The money has a trail. The split is published, identical for everyone, and legible to the people inside the system. Nothing is taken off the top that the formula doesn't show.

  3. Democratic governance

Citizens are meant to shape the ecosystem together, through votes of equal weight. Governance is designed into the architecture from day one, not bolted on later.

Play with discipline.

Militant Play is the name for that stance: creative work taken seriously, with rules that protect the people who make it.
